About Rhythm games

Rhythm games reward timing more than reflexes, and the sz.games catalog has one of the deepest rhythm selections around. Friday Night Funkin and its mods fill most of the list, from B-Sides and Neo to Vs. Whitty, Vs. Hex and Sarvente's Mid-Fight Masses.

Alongside FNF there are other beat-based games: osu! for pointing accuracy, A Dance of Fire and Ice for strict two-key rhythm, and a handful of music and dance titles that use the same keyboard patterns.

How to read the list

Every game below is tagged Rhythm in the build-time catalog, so the order and the count come straight from the data. Many entries keep the original keyboard layout, which usually means the arrow keys or WASD on one half and the space bar on the other. Check the game page controls before you start if the notes feel late.

Which rhythm game should you pick first

Start with the base Friday Night Funkin if you want the familiar weeks and songs, or pick a mod when you already know a specific artist or character. osu! is the better choice if you prefer clicking circles to pressing keys, and A Dance of Fire and Ice is the cleanest introduction to strict tempo play.
